From playing the piano at the age of 5, and discovering his natural ability of perfect pitch, Matthew is a visually impaired pianist and composer living in Wolverhampton who has previously been featured on the Channel 4 programme ‘The Piano’.
Working full time as a piano tuner, Matthew has dedicated his life to the instrument. His repertoir covers a wide variety of genres and styles having been influenced by his hobby of collecting vintage gramophones, and phonographic cylinders, to present day artists.
He first got interested in the ukulele by coming across a 78rpm record of George Formby. He became Musical Director of the George Formby Society in 2010 and now continues playing piano and ukulele across the UK.
To book a ticket call in at All Saints Parish Centre or phone 07976 100321.
There will be a retiring collection in aid of All Saints Organ Restoration Fund and Alzheimer’s Society.
